You have more than one soulmate

A friend of mine recently told me, "You have more than one soulmate. Whether it be in a friend, a sister, a brother, a parent or a lover." And more than one of each sometimes. Sometimes in relationships, you outgrow a person but that doesn't mean they weren't your soulmate at some point in time. It doesn't mean you didn't share something that was one of a kind. But it also doesn't mean you are only limited to "one of a kind relationship" per lifetime.
If you have more than one sibling, if you have more than one parent, more than one close friend- you know this. You have more than one soulmate. More than one way of understanding, more than one of way of feeling, more than one way of being happy. It makes me sad when I see people that were previously "in love" whatever that entails come away from it with a sense of resentment. Just because things don't work out don't mean you resort to spite. Each person you meet in your life somehow contributes to your growth- the way you respond is up to you. If it's a negative experience, you either learn from it or you let it sit in the back of your heart- gnawing away at the walls. But you control your growth. You control how you perceive the world, how you perceive someone. Remember that at some point- this person made you happy.
Whether it be a friend, sibling or parent.
