The girls you raise

Don’t raise your daughters to “No, cause you’re a girl.”

Don’t raise them in bad temper and she’s left mending your broken heart.

Don’t raise your daughters so tough they forget they’re children but also-

Don’t raise them to be anything but defiant.

Don’t raise your daughters to bow to a man.

Don’t raise them to think dominance is the norm.

Don’t raise your daughters to shame themselves for being human.

Don’t raise them to think they are short of perfect.

Don’t raise your daughters to mistake anger for love. Don’t raise them to feel the need to nurture broken souls...like you. Don’t raise your daughters if you can’t. Don’t raise them at all.
